UPDATE: Missing GPF Dog, Moe, Found

  • July 6, 2012

A friend of a Grosse Pointe Farms couple searching for their beloved Labradoodle, Moe, Friday night said early Saturday he has been found.

The dog was being watched by a relative but broke free from its collar near Lake Shore and Vernier Roads about 3:30 p.m. Friday July 6.

The dog was last seen running near the lake and had actually jumped the seawall, according to a family friend helping search for Moe.

Moe is microchipped but does not have a collar on as it slipped out it.

The Grosse Pointe Shores Department of Public Safety has been notified but the owners are hoping to spread the word to help bring Moe home.

Anyone who finds Moe or has information should call 313-655-7969 or Grosse Pointe Shores Public Safety at 313-881-5500.

This announcement was updated Saturday July 7, 2012 at 10:20 a.m. to update information saying he's been found.
