Sixth grader, Valerie Pfeffer, was recognized for her good citizenship at a Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR) award luncheon on Saturday, February 9th at the Edison Boat Club.  She, along with one seventh grader and one eighth grader, were nominated by faculty at Pierce Middle School to recieve the award.  Valerie was given a medal and applauded for her contributions to the school and community.  She is looking forward to future school and community service opportunities.
