The Grosse Pointe Academy's annual Action Auction starts Wednesday night with a "strolling party and silent auction." The academy's spokeswoman Mary Anne Brush shared several pictures with Patch of the auction items.

The annual fundraiser aims to raise monies to support academic enrichment at the academy and build funds for tuition scholarships.

Tonight's event begins at 6 p.m. and a preview of the live auction items up for bidding Saturday will begin at 8:30 p.m.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday with a strolling hour before guests are seated at 7 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:15 p.m. Bidding will for the live auction will close at 9:30 p.m.
