Breaking and Entering at Radio Shack in Grosse Pointe Woods
The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety from the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.
An alarm notified Grosse Pointe Woods police of a forced entry at the Radio Shack in the 19000 block of Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods on Dec. 2.
The glass front door of the business had been smashed and a large rock was found lying on the ground inside the doorway.
According to police, the person(s) who had illegally entered the business had attempted to remove several flat screen televisions from the walls but they were held by cables and couldn't be taken.
Suspects also attempted to take laptop computers but they were also held in place by anti-theft cables, according to a report.
An unknown amount of cash was taken from the cash register, according to a report.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going. The incident is one of several businesses in the past two weeks that have been broken into on Mack Avenue.
