City of Grosse Pointe Police Warn of Wheel Thefts

After a four-month break, wheel thefts have picked up again, according to City of Grosse Pointe Police, who warn residents to be on the lookout and to report anything suspicious.

Grosse Pointe residents are urged to report anything suspicious following the theft of wheels from a Cadillac on Washington--a crime that had been on a several month break but has resurfaced.

The Cadillac was left on jacks, according to an alert issued Friday night.

The area has been spared of this type of crime for the last four months but now police are warning that any vehicle with 20-inch rims are at risk. Partiular cars of concern are Cadillacs including the Escalade.

Residents are urged to report anything suspicious, with particular attention to vehicles being drivn in the neighborhood.

That's pretty bold. So bold it seems inevitable that they will be caught. Those wheels are expensive enough to qualify for a felony. Good luck with that fellas.
