Famed Designer and Grosse Pointe Native Christos Garkinos Holds Charity Event at The Hill

Former Grosse Pointer and well-known designer, Christos Garkinos, brings his brand of vintage, upscale fashion to The Hill to benefit the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation.

Celebrity stylist and co-owner of LA's designer consignment store Decades, designer Christos Garkinos has returned to his native Grosse Pointe for a special trunk show to benefit Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation.

According to an article by the HuffPost, the show will "feature around 500 items selected by Garkinos, including many outerwear pieces, bags and shoes, from designers including Chanel, Prada, Chloe, Oscar de la Renta, Balenciaga, Burberry, Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo. The gently-worn pieces, curated to fit Detroit's cold seasons, are sold at up to 80 percent off the original prices."

The show will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 from at The Hill restaurant, 123 Kercheval Avenue, Grosse Pointe Farms, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free.
