Give Feedback in Survey on North Principal Search
Grosse Pointe Public School district officials are asking the community to take a survey online to provide information about the future principal of Grosse Pointe North. The survey will be open through June 29.
Grosse Pointe Public School officials are asking for information from the community about the preferred leadership styles and experience of the future principal of Grosse Pointe North High School.
A survey is available on the district's website and contains 10 questions, most of which are multiple choice. The questions ask the survey-taker to identify their relationship to the school and then gives a list of different leadership styles, personality traits and more for survey-takers to rate on a scale of 'not important' to 'critically important.'
There are two open-ended questions that offer survey-takers the opportunity to address issues not mentioned in the other questions.
In addition to the survey, the district is hosting a community forum tonight at Grosse Pointe North High School beginning at 7 p.m. The district's human resources assistant superintendent Jon Dean will be facilitating the conversation.
The district posted the North position on its website and several other educational outlets earlier this month after current Principal Tim Bearden gave his notice. He has accepted a position at Detroit Country Day School and will begin there July 1.
District officials are hopeful to have a candidate by late July to present to the board.
