Grosse Pointe News Moving from Farms to Woods

GP News has been at its current location on Kercheval St. for decades.

The Grosse Pointe News has announced that the company is moving its business from Kercheval Street in the Farms to Mack Avenue in the Woods this weekend.

The News will re-open on Oct. 1 in its new space, Editor Joe Warner told Patch on Thursday.

"Parking has always been an issue," Warner said of the newspaper's location on Kercheval.  Warner said the new location affords the paper's customers and employees its own parking lot.

According to a release by GP News, the new offices will be open at 8:00 a.m. Monday at 21316 Mack Avenue, just north of Vernier.  All of the phone numbers for the GP News will remain the same.

The Grosse Pointe News has been a mainstay on Kercheval St. for decades.

I really like the GPNews... But with their new location, maybe they should change the name to the St. Clair Shores view of GP News?

Sad.
