Grosse Pointe North Hockey Beats Defending Champs
Grosse Pointe North defeated new league foe Wyandotte Roosevelt 4-3 Wednesday night on the road. John Paul Lucchese scored twice for the Norsemen, while Brad Werenski and Ryan Babcock added a goal each.
Grosse Pointe North traveled to Wyandotte Roosevelt on Wednesday night and dropped the Bears 4-3.
The Norsemen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Brad Werenski and Ryan Babcock.
Wyandotte was able to tie the game twice, but two goals from John Paul Lucchese broke the tie each time, with the last one being the game-winner.
Roosevelt is the defending Division 2 state champion and is one of two new teams to join the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League this season.
Up next for the Norsemen is a league battle at home against Birmingham Brother Rice on Thursday, Dec. 8.

Love the write up but as a very proud aunt of freshman Ryan Babcock it was he who scored last nite not RC Nelson ( who wasn't in game last nite)
