But Grosse Pointe South falls in high school football.

Two of the three Grosse Pointe high school football teams proved victorious in the final week of the regular season.
Grosse Pointe North defeated Sterling Heights Stevenson 32-29, according to the MHSAA. The Norsemen finished with a 4-5 record.
University Liggett also prevailed with a 24-14 triumph over Waterford Our Lady. The Knights improved to 9-0 and will play in the state playoffs.
Grosse Pointe South, though, lost to Marine City 48-34. The Blue Devils are 6-3 overall, and they also will compete in the postseason.
The playoff pairings will be announced on Fox Sports Detroit on Sunday at 7 p.m.
