Athletes from across Metro Detroit, and as far away as Texas, biked, ran and kayaked Saturday in the second Shores-Pointes Adventure Triathlon.
Rebecca Caulfield, 37, of Grosse Pointe Park, was the overall female winner with a time of 1:24:20.
The event, which included a 2.1 mile kayak race in Lake St. Clair, a 5K run through St. Clair Shores and a 11.1 bike through the Grosse Pointes, attracted 290 participants. Last year there were 191.
