Grosse Pointe South's Hannah Meier Runs Past National Field

Blue Devils star runner posts fastest time in the nation this year in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07 at the Brooks PR 2013 in Seattle.

Hannah Meier made quick work of the competition at the Brooks PR Invitational 2013 on Sunday, Feb. 24, in Seattle.

Meier, a student at Grosse Pointe South, prevailed in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07—the fastest in the nation by a high school athlete this season.

Here's a sampling of the reaction on Twitter to Meier's victory.

Meier has excelled throughout her high school career at Grosse Pointe South. She won two state titles at the track and field finals in 2011, and she—along with sister Haley Meier—helped the Blue Devils win state track and field team championships in 2011 and 2012.
