Thank you but no. It is probably best that I throw spongy "TV bricks" at the big screen in the privacy of my own home.
It is too bad that the debate will not include all the candidates. Jill Stein of the Green Party, Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party and Steward Anderson of the Socialist Party would certainly liven things up! Unfortunately, the one thing about which there is bipartisan agreement is the need to not let the minor parties play a major role in the election in the way that Ralph Nader and others have in the past. It's really too bad: a truly open debate could make for television that for once might be both more enlightening AND more entertaining.

The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of this country was recently downgraded to 1.3%.
This is abysmal. The upcoming jobs report will show America to have a 44th month of unemployment over 8%. When you figure in those that have given up looking for work, it's closer to 19%. THAT is abysmal.
Median Family Income has dropped $4,000 under Obama. More people are out of work now then when Obama took office.
The above are the facts. Why are some Americans continuing to support a president who's only experience was as a US Senator in his first term, who spent most of that first term running for higher office. Before that he was a state senator in his first term who voted "present" over 100 times instead of a yea or nay vote.
Romney has run a business, a successful Olympics and a state.
One has "Executive Experience" , the other is still trying to figure out what that is after almost 4 years.

And Romney's "Executive Experience" leads him to think it's a good idea to return to the economic policies that caused the Great Recession prior to Obama's term?
I wish this weren't true, as I have previously voted for Romney, but unfortunately it's clear his private sector experience and other successful endeavors are not the leading influence in economic and foreign policy stances.
It is clear that the most hawkish of W's foreign policy advisors and the most delusional of the W's neocons for economic advisors were chosen by Romney to be part of his team. And THEY are making the calls.
Colin Powell recently offered a thinly veiled warning in an interview - "You have to be careful to see who your candidate is bringing along." I would add you also have to think of the SCOTUS nominations that may occur. Those decisions last decades past a POTUS' term.

Keith, you are correct -- Obama has been a disaster; as I observed in a recent blog post on this site, total employment is where it was when he took office nearly four years ago, yet we have added 8.8 million people to the working age population, so the percentage of the working age population that is employed (employment-population ratio is right where it was at the trough of the Great Recession. No improvement at all. http://troy.patch.com/blog_posts/michigan-employment-slide-continues
And to make matters worse, real wages for those who are employed have fallen.
Obama's solution? Well, he doesn't have one, actually, and it's pretty clear he has no grasp at all of how an advanced economy works, aside from a few scraps of grade school macroeconomic Keynesianism (duh, run deficit, stimulate aggregate demand). At least Romney understands microeconomics, as every good businessman does, something of which Obama is utterly ignorant.

Wow … This is a snoozer, so far. … Too much "he's a lying about me" from both sides … We need some fact-checkers.

Interesting - Romney in the primary was a stickler for candidates following the rules. He just overruled the moderator and insisted that he (Romney) have the last word in a segment even though he was told otherwise.

I wish Romney could tell me what his plans are to 'fix' the country. Guess I read one too many articles on his Bain company and how he bankrupted many, many companies to become very, very rich.

Julia - he did in his "60 Minutes" interview recently. When asked about the specifics to get his goals accomplished and still tackle debt he said:
"The devil's in the details. The ANGEL's in the policy." To which the interviewer replied: And those policies would be.....? And tax loop holes eliminated would be.....? Still waiting...

The Obama we know is better than somebody who could not manage ordinary Bain Company. If you vote for him American, economy will go into coma forever.
