Grosse Pointe Farms police have a 21-year-old man in custody Friday in connection with a series of break-ins earlier this week, according to the department.
Police have sent a warrant to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office and hope to arraign the man later Friday.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was living with a friend in St. Clair Shores. He has admitted to involvement in some of the break-ins, police said.
Grosse Pointe Farms Lt. Richard Rosati said a fingerprint from a knife helped lead police to the man.
The man’s father, a Grosse Pointe Shores resident, also gave police leads, according to a report in the Detroit Free Press.
Grosse Pointe Patch will have more on this story as it becomes available.

He's lucky he got caught by the authorities and not by a homeowner brandishing a handgun.
