Hundreds of people descended upon the Hill Wednesday afternoon for the annual Racing for Kids Street Fair, meanwhile organizers began setting up for the evening fundraiser that will for the first time happen outdoors on Kercheval Avenue.

Racing for Kids Street Fair

The fifth annual Racing for Kids street fair drew hundreds of people Wednesday afternoon to the Hill in Grosse Pointe Farms. 

Racing for Kids is a charity that raises money for the pediatric units of a variety of area hospitals, including Beaumont Hospital Grosse Pointe

An evening fundraiser begins at 6 p.m. at Northern Trust Bank. There will be a live auction, food, cocktails and live music. A Racing for Kids official said there is a surprise auction item to be unveiled following one racecar demonstrations.
