Red Crown to Open March 6 in Grosse Pointe Park

A new restaurant in Grosse Pointe Park featuring American comfort foods is slated to open March 6 for dinner.

The much-anticipated Red Crown restaurant in Grosse Pointe Park will open for dinner March 6, according to an update on the company's Facebook page Tuesday.

Red Crown will feature American comfort foods. It is located in the old Standard Oil building on Kercheval Avenue at Beaconsfield.

The restaurant had been waiting on final inspections and Monday's announcement confirmed those are complete. It will open for dinner first and add lunch and brunch options later, according to Facebook.

Red Crown is one of three restaurants being opened in Grosse Pointe Park this year by Mindy Lopus, of Silver Pig Restaurant Group. The others are Bona Fide Bakery and Tallulah's.
