The owner of Hannah Bear Boutique and La Jolie Rose celebrated her new location on Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday with city and business officials.

Owner Rose Marchese recently moved her businesses from the Village to 20155 Mack Ave., which has been a good move, she previously told Patch.

She was joined Monday by her husband Dr. Robert Marchese, Woods Mayor Robert Novitke, Woods City Administrator Al Fincham and Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jennifer Boettcher and Director of Administration MaryJo Harris.

Her relocation involved some remodeling and update to the new building, which formerly houses Grosse Pointe Collection. The new space offers Marchese more space and is much brighter with natural light.

The business was one of many along Mack Avenue without power Monday due to the high winds that took many power lines down and caused heavy power outages throughout the Woods and some in the City and the Park.

The new location is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday. The store is closed Sunday and Monday. To reach the store, call 313-882-6966 or visit their Facebook page.
