This Week in Grosse Pointe: Jan. 28

The Grosse Pointe Public School Board will meet this week in addition to council meetings in the Park, the CIty and the Woods.

 

Here are the highlights of the many things going on this week in Grosse Pointe:

1. The Grosse Pointe Public School Board will meet for the first time this year Monday beginning at 7 p.m. at Brownell Middle School. According to the agenda, the board will:

  • elect officer positions
  • establish the 2013 meeting schedule
  • other annual appointments will be made

the board will vote on or discuss:

  • the monthly human resources report
  • human sexuality materials for high school courses
  • digital seminar courses in high schools
  • budget parameters for 2013/14 fiscal year

2. Grosse Pointe Woods city council will meet Monday beginning at 7:30 p.m. According to the agenda, the council will discuss:

  • the Michigan Municipal League Capital Conference
  • resignations from the Tree Commission and the Planning Commission
  • the 2013 Commission appreciation reception
  • an addendum to the rubbish collection contract
  • the second reading on two ordinances

3. The City of Grosse Pointe council will meet Monday beginning at 7 p.m. According to the agenda, the council will discuss:

  • an amendment to the Downtown Development Authority
  • a site plan review for Beaumont Hospital clinic
  • the state revolving loan fund sewer project
  • a 5-year financial projection
  • the annual public safety report

4. The Grosse Pointe Park council will meet Monday beginning at 7 p.m. According to the agenda, the council will discuss:

  • community development block grant monies
  • financial report
