Cold Stone Creamery is hosting its 11th annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social on Thursday, with $1 for every "Love It-" or "Gotta Have It-"sized ice cream going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help children with life-threatening medical conditions.

While summer may be behind us, the craving for ice cream never truly goes away.
And now, there's an extra reason to enjoy a tasty treat on Thursday.
Cold Stone Creamery is hosting its 11th annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social, with $1 from the sale of every "Love It-" or "Gotta Have It-"sized ice cream going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Since 2002, Cold Stone has raised more than $4 million for Make-A-Wish.
Thursday's promotion runs from open to close at participating locations across the country.
The Grosse Pointe Cold Stone is located at 16823 Kercheval Ave in the Village.
