Baby Fair at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe—Because Babies Don’t Come with Instructions

For many expecting parents, the elation of welcoming home their new little bundle of joy may be tinged with a bit of apprehension.

Through interactive exhibits and mini-classes, you can learn about  a wide range of parenting and health care issues from Beaumont experts, like comfort care during labor, infant massage, keeping your baby happy and infant/child CPR

Area shops will be there with everything you need for newborn and mom, including fashions, toys and baby-care essentials. Local organizations will have information on services for new families like community health, fitness programs, family resources and support groups, and day care and preschool options.

Local children’s author Nancy Stapleton will be signing copies of her book, Be a Gem, and Beaumont, Grosse Pointe’s own Chef Dan will give demonstrations throughout the day on “The Goodness of Homemade Baby Food.”

And, attendees can “Ask a Beaumont Doctor” about prenatal, post-partum and pediatric care at Beaumont facilities, including the  Shery L. and David B. Cotton, M.D. Family Birth Center at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe.
