DESCRIPTION:Practice Yoga in Grosse Pointe will host the Downward Dogz fo
 r a Cause fundraiser for Teacher&rsquo\;s Pet: Dogs and Kids Learning To
 gether.&nbsp\; On Saturday\, February\, 23\, 2013\, from 3:30 p.m. &ndas
 h\; 5:00 p.m.\, a special basic yoga class will be offered for a donatio
 n of $10 or in-kind donations such as harnesses\, leashes\, collars\, do
 g crates\, dog treats\, etc. Golden retriever\, Sara Lee\, and her talen
 ted &ldquo\;mom\,&rdquo\; Denise Sand\, will guide you through updog and
  down dog postures in this fun-filled yoga class for humans.\nPractice Y
 oga owner\, Christie Wood\, is excited about the upcoming event. &ldquo\
 ;Part of the yoga philosophy is to share our gifts with others and by of
 fering our studio and talented staff\, we can give back to the troubled 
 youth and unwanted rescue dogs in the area.&rdquo\;\nInstructor Denise S
 and believes that what is given\, good or bad\, comes back. &ldquo\;This
  is perpetuated through the loving support and generosity of our clients
 .&nbsp\; It is through their generosity that we are able to support othe
 rs in need like Teacher&rsquo\;s Pet.&rdquo\;\nTeacher&rsquo\;s Pet: Dog
 s and Kids Learning Together is an innovative 501(c)3 non profit that us
 es the power of the human animal bond to empower youth to build confiden
 ce\, social skills\, empathy\, trust and skill-building. Teacher&rsquo\;
 s Pet works with youth at the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center in M
 ount Clemens as well as other locations. These young trainers are paired
  with hard-to-adopt shelter dogs for a workshop centered on proper care 
 and basic &ldquo\;good manners&rdquo\; that will give the dogs a good ch
 ance at finding their forever home.\nThe mission of Practice Yoga is to 
 empower clients through yoga to live with better health and a more peace
