British composer Benjamin Britten composed two sparkling orchestral suites based on themes by Rossini. Elizabeth Schulze conducts Soirées musicales which revels in dance rhythms and demonstrates Britten's orchestral mastery and tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. Acting associate concertmaster, Hai-Xin Wu will perform Mozart's delightfully buoyant Third Violin Concerto at our first concert of the Neighborhood Series concerts in Grosse Pointe Woods.
