The Distinguished Alumni Committee of Grosse Pointe North has been established to recognize and honor GPN Alumni for their outstanding individual achievements and contributions, after high school, in their lives, careers, community, nation or world. By showcasing the talents of honorable Alumni, we will provide our current and future students with examples of what they can dream and aspire to become. To that end, on May 14th, 2012, Grosse Pointe North will recognize and celebrate its first class of Distinguished Alumni inductees. Given their diverse yet equally commendable achievements, the 2012 inductees are . . .Major General Bob Brown (77), Hans Stricker, M.D. (80), William Babcock (81), John Ahee (82), Sandra Joseph (86), and Carly Piper (01). The days’ events will include a student assembly during which the Distinguished Alumni will be honored. That evening a program reception will be held in North’s library from 7-9 p.m. during which the Honorees will again be recognized amongst their friends, family and community leaders. The evening program reception is open to the public.

Thanks Nancy. We are so pleased the day was such a great success - certainly for the Honorees but also for the current student body. Yesterday reinvigorated the "Norseman Pride" in all of us!
