The 12th annual event for Woods residents and their guests features the popular Chili and Cookie Cook-offs, ice skating, a SCORE-O competition, giant slide, lunch and refreshments. Rerservations are free of charge but must be made by in advance. Call 343-2408 for details and contest information.

This kind of thing is good for the city and can bring the community together. Maybe a chance for neighbors to meet and can help create a sense of security if more of us know each other. It's also the kind of thing that makes people want to continue to live here and if Pete Waldmeir hadn't rallied his cronies then we, the city, might have been able to enjoy the benefits of both services. I will attend the city event and gladly shovel my own sidewalk IF we get a snow fall over six inches. Thank you, Pete.
