University of Michigan distinguished professor of psychology and education Dr. Jacquelynne S. Eccles discusses the role of gender in achievement. Over the past 30 years, she has conducted research on a wide variety of topics including gender-role socialization, teacher expectancies, classroom influences on student motivation and social development in the family and school context.

More About University Liggett School
Liggett was formed in the 1950s when two private schools merged. Today more than 500 students attend U.L.S. from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. This is the main campus for U.L.S., which has a middle school at another location in Grosse Pointe Woods.
