Grosse Pointe Theatre Youth on Stage presents Seussical the Musical on Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2, at 2:00 p.m. each day, at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Call 313-881-4004 for tickets, or purchase tickets at the door. Seussical the Musical, by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, is based on the Dr. Seuss books. The show features all of kids’ favorite whimsical Dr. Seuss characters in song and dance. Grosse Pointe Theatre’s Youth On Stage provides an opportunity for young people, grades 3-8, to learn about theatre. Students participate in Saturday afternoon sessions to learn the basics of theatre and rehearse for a show. The program gives youth an chance to express themselves through acting, singing and dancing.
