War Memorial and Friends of the Grosse Pointe Public Library present "An American Iliad," a commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. In essentially a one-man play format, presenter Jim Ribby will read poems from the era, arranging them in such a way that they will tell the story of the war, from its optimistic beginnings to its weary conclusion. Refreshments will follow.
