Metro Detroiters find creative and unique ways to care for their loved ones at home

Metro Detroiters are finding creative and unique ways to care for their loved ones at home

“Support at Home,” a recent television special, explored the challenges facing Metro Detroiters who want to care for their disabled or elderly loved ones at home. The program looked at the resources and services area available for families to allow their loved ones to live and receive care at home.

Produced by Community Living Services and Futures HealthCore, the show features enlightening interviews with prominent Michigan leaders including Tom Jankowski of the Wayne State University Institute of Gerontology, Governor Rick Snyder, Senator Debbie Stabenow, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and Michigan Department of Community Health Director Jim Haveman. Most senior citizens want to stay in their own homes and experts agree home is the best place for health care.

BrightStar Care can help make this possible by providing high quality, compassionate care for your loved ones in their home. Call (586) 279-3610 for a complimentary, in-home needs assessment.
