American Heroes: A Musical Salute to the Armed Forces

GROSSE POINTE WOODS – Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish is hosting an event for the entire Metro Detroit area from 7 - 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 9 – American Heroes:  A Musical Salute to the Armed Forces.

This is not a religious service, and people of all faiths or no religious affiliation are invited to attend the concert in the church, featuring the organ, other instruments and the parish choir.  Also participating will be U.S. Naval Sea Cadets of the Tomcat Squadron from Macomb County. 

Among the patriotic songs, there will be an armed forces medley honoring all branches of the service.  In addition, there will be verbal tributes to our service men and women.

There is no admission fee, although attendees may make a free-will offering if they choose.

Our Lady Star of the Sea is located at 467 Fairford on the corner of Morningside in Grosse Pointe Woods.
