Beaumont Names Ed Russell a Trustee

Grosse Pointe Farms resident and business owner Ed Russell will join a team of 103 trustees who advise the Beaumont Health System Board of Directors.

Beaumont appointed seven suburban Detroiters Thursday as trustees for the health system. According to a press release from a spokesman, the trustees join 103 already established trustees.

Ed Russell, of Grosse Pointe Farms, is one of the seven people appointed.

As a trustee, Russell will be required to attend meetings with the group twice a year and serve on committees with the goal of making recommendations to the health system's board of directors.

Russell is active within the Pointes. He is managing partner of Russell Development and has offices on the Hill.

Russell is a board member of the Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade Organization; serves on the Nothern Trust-Michigan Advisory Board and Eagle Children's Charities Board-Detroit.

According to the release, Russell was a founding board member of the Holly Ear Institute at St. John Providence Hospital.

Russell holds a finance degree from Western Michigan University.

Russell was also previously involved with the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce.
