Update: Help Feed Homeless Pets in St. Clair Shores

The Kibble Drop trucks will arrive at the Pet Supplies Plus store on Mack Avenue in St. Clair Shores at noon Thursday.

Ellen DeGeneres has teamed with a national charity to help feed homeless pets and the initiative is expected to visit St. Clair Shores today.

Trucks from Freekibble.com are expected to deliver donated food to Pet Supplies Plus store on Mack at noon today. The food will be delivered to pets in need in the area.

A spokeswoman for the effort said DeGeneres will not be be attending today's event as previously reported by Patch and the Detroit Free Press.

DeGeneres and Mimi Ausland, who founded Freekibble.com, are taking part in their second Holiday Kibble Drop to deliver meals to pets in needs.

The St. Clair Shores stop is one of 14 across the country. The Holiday Kibble Drop hopes to pass out 500,000 meals across the country.

Robert, I've been a huge booster for Pointe Hardware. Their prices are either in-line or better thanRead More big box and their service is amazing. You could probably do a home remodel by just leaching free advice from them.

I absolutely LOVE our local, in-the-park hardware store!! They have what I need, and their friendlyRead More staff know where to find what I need! I really can't stand the "new" Village Ace Hardware. Not only are the staff NOT friendly, but they don't even know their own stock...or much about everyday hardware needs :(
