Festival Of Tables To Be Held At The War Memorial

The Festival of Tables, a unique fund-raiser for local charities, will be held Sunday at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.

Daughters of Penelope, Thamyris Chapter of Grosse Pointe, will hold the annual Festival of Tables to benefit women's charities Sunday at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. 

The event has raised over $200,000, and has benefited agencies and programs including St. John Providence Health System Breast Care Program, Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Vista Maria - Home for Young Girls, Juvenile Diabetes Association and Daughters of Penelope Foundation, Inc.

This year, the Festival of Tables features 33 individually designed dinner tables created by women of the Thamyris Chapter, SJPHS – Breast Care Program, members of the community and local businesses including Macy's at Lakeside, Arkay-Walker Home Décor and LaModa Salon.

In addition to the unique tables, there are will be a holiday gift boutique with 30 local area vendors, Entertainment provided by DJ Yorg, a silent auction, jar auction, a wine bar a and fashion show by Macy’s at Lakeside.

Tickets are $15 for viewing of the tables from 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday, and $60 for dinner and viewing from 4:30 - 6 p.m. Sunday.
