A few quick bits of information to get your day started in Grosse Pointe.

Five things to get your day started in Grosse Pointe. 

1. It might feel cooler today, just a teeny tiny bit. Temperatures are to reach 89 with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms and rainshowers, according to National Weather Service. Gusty winds could reach up to 18 miles per hour and the nighttime will be most cloudy. 

2. Bike paths for the Grosse Pointes are being inching forward as an idea. The proposed routes have been established by officials from all five of the Grosse Pointes and will still have to ultimately be approved by all of the city councils.

3. Officials continue to oppose calling for the current state House district representing the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods to be divided into two districts. asking the Governor to veto the map earlier this week and most recently . 

4. Plan to stop by and donate blood Monday at a drive at  and be entered to win a pair of Cedar Point tickets. The blood drive will be from 1 to 7 p.m. July 25 in the cafeteria. Make an appointment here.
