1. There is a 20 percent chance of rainshowers today, according to the National Weather Service, with a high near 71. The chance of rain increases at nighttime with a low of 47.

3. Grosse Pointe Shores and Grosse Pointe Farms will soon share a judge for the municipal courts after both councils approved an operating agreement this week. The agreement was reached rather quickly after Grosse Pointe Woods terminated its contract with the Shores because the two cities could not reach an amicable agreement.

4. Grosse Pointe Woods residents and business owners will have to in about 30 days after the council approved a new ordinance this week. A $60 registration fee is required and a graduated fine schedule is intended to curb false alarm responses by emergency workers
