The holiday season kicked off Friday with the 38th annual Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade.
A variety of floats, bands, Scouts and community groups were among the entrants in the parade, which was presented for the first time this year by the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce.
The parade was also an event for residents along Kercheval who hosted receptions along the parade route.
