VillageFest Brings Cars, Art, Entertainment and Food to Kercheval

Grosse Pointe's largest community celebration, VillageFest, sponsored by Beaumont Health System, takes place September 7 and 8, 2013 in The Village. VillageFest is produced by the Grosse Pointe Village Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

A free festival open to the public, VillageFest features a special focus for each member of the family. VillageFest includes an art exhibition, live music and entertainment, food and refreshments, along with a car show and activities for children.

VillageFest activities take place throughout The Village. Vehicular traffic is diverted off Kercheval Avenue, the main thoroughfare downtown, in order to create areas for hospitality and safe play for all ages. VillageFest takes place on the first weekend following Labor Day each year. It covers the entire three block shopping district on Kercheval Avenue, between Cadieux and Neff in The Village.
