Winter Weather Advisory In Effect for Southeast Michigan

An advisory has been issued for communities in southeast Michigan. Drivers should be cautious through the Thursday morning commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for southeast Michigan, which will remain in effect until noon Thursday.

Snow is expected to fall through the Thursday morning commute, with up to an additional two inches of accumulation expected, the Weather Service reported. A total of five inches may fall.

Additionally, temperatures will be in the lower teens with wind chill readings as low as 5 below.

The cold temperatures, and snowfall, will make untreated roads slippery and hazardous, according to the Weather Service. Drivers are recommended to reduce speeds and use caution while driving.
