The annual Winterfest on the Hill will offer a variety of activities including pre-carved ice sculptures and ice sculpture demonstrations, miniature golf, s'mores-making, cookie-decorating and more Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The festival will not close down Kercheval this year, according to a community alert from the Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety, but is likely to cause traffic congestion because of the high number of pedestrians in the area.
In addition to the on-site activities, there is a Chili cook-off competition. Entries are due by Noon today (Friday Feb. 1). For more information call 313-343-2405.
