26th Season of Music on the Plaza

This week, the concert features Soneo, with Latin arrangements with R&B, motown, pop, jazz and more.

Grosse Pointe’s Music on the Plaza opens the 2013 season June 6 with performances by the Grosse Pointe North and South jazz bands.
According to a lineup released by Melissa Bunker, the Music on the Plaza coordinator and spokeswoman, the 2013 season features some new bands and musicians.
Some of the popular bands and musicians remain in the lineup as well.
In it’s 26th year, the Music on the Plaza is a free outdoor concert on Thursday nights on St. Clair Street near Kercheval Avenue.
People wishing to come are encouraged to bring their own chair and the public safety department closes down the street for a few hours.
Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and continue through 8:30 p.m. The concerts happen regardless of weather but in the event it rains, the concert is moved into Maire Elementary School.
