Alger Theater Presents Film on the Hill

The Alger Theater hosts a free outdoor event, "Film on the Hill: A Moonlight Series," on Detroit's east side, at Balduck Park.  

The fun begins at 8:30 p.m. with live music and the film, The Secret of Kells, will be shown at dusk.

Free popcorn will be available and seating blankets will be available for a small donation.

The Friends of the Alger Theater (FOTAT) along with the Detroit Film Theater (DFT) at Detroit Institute of Arts are co-presenting this free event. The showing of this film is funded in part by Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. FOTAT and the DFT will be presenting another evening of fun on Saturday, Aug. 20. Go to www.algertheater.org for more information.
