The Village of Grosse Pointe Shores is celebrating its centennial with a number of events. Today at Schroeder Park it's time for "A Look Back in Time," an old-time ice cream social and building dedication, sponsored by the Grosse Pointe Shores Improvement Foundation.
Besides the dedication and ribbon cutting for the new Grosse Pointe Shores Improvement Foundation Schroeder Field House, reisdents can enjoy free ice cream sundaes; live entertainment; bike, buggy and wagon decorating; bike inspections and licensing; public safety vehicles on display; and a Shores history display.
