Racing for Kids Event

The fifth annual Racing For Kids event will be held Aug. 31, on Kercheval Avenue in Grosse Pointe Farms.

The Hill Association merchants and businesses will host a dayong street fair, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., which is free and open to the public. Guests can enjoy a sidewalk sale, scavenger hunt, children's games, moon walks, refreshments and activities for the whole family. Local bands will entertain and cool cars will be on display.  IZOD IndyCar driver Ana (bia) Beatriz will also make an appearance.

From 6-9 p.m. that evening there will be a cocktail reception and live luxury auction at Northern Trust Bank, 120 Kercheval, to raise funds for the Racing For Kids hospital visit program and several area children’s hospitals.  The gathering will feature gourmet fare from restaurants on the Hill and Fresh Farms Market. The Dirty Dog Jazz Café is providing entertainment, and the auction will feature luxury items such as get-aways and sports and spa packages.
