Weeklong Show Choir and Vocal Jazz Workshop to culminate in singing and dancing tribute to the songs Hollywood made famous. Plus, the introduction of new GP South Choir MusicDirector, Chris Pratt.
To say that it's been a busy summer for the Grosse Pointe
South choir is an understatement. And this summer's That's Entertainment Show Choir and Vocal Jazz Workshop is evidence to the fact that award-winning showchoir is the result of hard work and a passion for musical excellence. This show willbe packed with talented kids singing the songs that Hollywood made famous. "Let'sGo To The Movies" is the theme, and that means you'll see a performance that includes music from films like: Newsies, Saturday Night Fever, Bye Bye Birdie, Dreamgirls and many more Jazz classics and music stripped right from famous movie soundtracks. Guest Directors, Duane Davis and Lindsay CieChanski promise to bring their electric energy to each number as the Grosse Pointe area's most talented students sing and dance their to songs you know by heart. All served up with masterful dance numbers from the creative minds of professional choreographers, Andy Haines and Annette Layman. Plus, this special show will also mark the introduction of GP South's new Choir
Music Director, Chris Pratt, who will be carrying on the rich tradition of South Show Choir excellence that Grosse Pointe South is knownfor.
