Beaumont, Grosse Pointe will partner with Spirit of Women to host “Girls’ Night Out,” a health fair themed after Elizabeth Gilbert’s book “Eat, Pray, Love.” The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Assumption Cultural Center, 21800 Marter Road, in St. Clair Shores.
With a $10 advanced registration fee, “Girl’s Night Out” includes health screenings, education and prevention information; Mediterranean cooking demonstrations; boutique shopping, chocolate, appetizers, makeovers and free giveaways. There will also be breakout sessions with Beaumont health experts discussing the latest information on breast care health, vein treatment options and heart health.
Inspired by “Eat, Pray, Love,” attendees will also discover how to embrace life, be inspired and find balance as they “travel” to Italy, India and Bali where Beaumont Integrative Medicine experts will teach how to use food as medicine; the benefits of yoga; and how to experience internal harmony using relaxation and guided imagery techniques.
