Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe to Offer Tuesday Special

In an attempt to thank their local customers, Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe has created a Tuesday night special that includes a three course meal and live music.

Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe is offering a new dinner special on Tuesdays after 3 p.m. as a thank you to their local customers, according to Justin Near, the public relations representative for Gretchen Valade's businesses.

The special is three items for $30 including soup or salad, an entree and dessert. Diners get to choose from a selected list of menu items to build their own custom meal, according to a recent press release.

The options include tomato and chef's selection soup; house or wedge salad; salmon, braised pork chop, beef short rib, confit chicken fettucini; choice of dessert from restaurant menu.

Near said Tuesdays were chosen because often the restaurant is filled with Grosse Pointers, the locals, and the idea is to thank them. The menu chosen for this special offers items not on the regular menu, he said.

The estimated savings is about 15 percent from ordering a la carte off the menu for the same three course meal, Near said, but that figure is not exact because some of the items on the special are not offered normally.

In addition, diners can enjoy live music without a cover charge, Near said. Every Tuesday the Charles Boles Quartet plays from 5 to 9 p.m., he said.
