Tell us how your business got started:

I am part of a franchise system so with their support, I chose a territory and created a storefront originally at 20926 Mack. We moved a few years later to a location on Mack further south and then again in February of this year because we had an opportunity to lease with a purchase option.

With the help of dedicated and loyal staff and the local Audubon Society, we reached out to he community and found them to be very receptive of nature and of bird-feeding.

Why did you choose your location?

I love the Grosse Pointe area as it has be my home for over 30 years. The residents in Grosse Pointe and the surrounding area love their yards, their birds and are very supportive of local business.

We have great habitat that supports a phenomenal bird population. At the Ford House where I lead bird walks, we have recorded 195 species of birds in the last 18 years.
