Grosse Pointe Chamber Hires New Parade Director

The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce hired a new parade director this week for the annual event the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Grosse Pointer Nora Dennehy Glenn will be the new director for the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade that happens annually the day after Thanksgiving.

The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce announced the selection of Glenn for the role on Facebook this week. Glenn has a background in public relations with a degree in speech communication and public relations.

The Chamber recently took over the responsibility of the parade as the role of the Grosse Pointe Village Association is changing. The association is now the commuication link between the businesses and the Downtown Development Authority.

In divying up the responsibilities, the parade was passed along to the Chamber because of their contact throughout the five cities, Association President Mike Kramer previously told Patch.

This year's parade will be Nov. 29.
