Grosse Pointe Chamber Recognizes 2013 Pointers of Distinction

The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce recognized three business owners and three students as the 2013 Pointers of Distinction.

Six Grosse Pointers have been recognized as the community's "Pointers of Distinction" for 2013 by the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce. The annual awards recognize individuals who are making strides in business and community service as well as high schoolers who are active within the community.

The winners are:

Editor and Publisher of Grosse Pointe Magazine, John Minnis, is the winner for the New Business Enterprise category.

Owner of Village Grille, Dan Lemanske, earned recognition for the Excellence in Business category.

Owner/President of Wright Enterprises and Executive Director of Racing for Kids, J. Patrick Wright, is the winner in the Community Service category.

The students recognized this year are:

  • Michelle Austin from Grosse Pointe North High School
  • Neal Jeup from Grosse Pointe South High School
  • Tori Wuthrich from University of Liggett School
