Peet's Now Brewing In The Village

Business and elected officials recently gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Peet's Coffee & Tea in the Village.

Mayor Dale Scrace recently joined members of the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce to help celebrate the opening of Peet's Coffee & Tea in the Village.

The coffee shop is located in the former Caribou Coffee on Kercheval, and retains some of the features of the Sanders store that occupied the location for nearly 60 years. Some of the original chairs, and the green marble wall, is once again visible according to Peet's Coffee & Tea district manager Jason Briggs.

Additionally, $1 from each customer at the Grosse Pointe Peet's on opening day was donated to the Mercy Education Project. Also, Peet’s has partnered with Ann Arbor-based Zingerman’s Bakehouse to provide baked goods.
