, celebrated its recent move from a location on Mack Avenue in the to a larger space on Mack Avenue in this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Accountant Anthony Zoia said the move was the result of an opportunity that came up unexpectedly. His new office at 20447 Mack Ave. offers him about 500 more square feet of office space in addition to having better exposure in the community.
His previous location in the City of Grosse Pointe was in a building that housed several other businesses as well, he said. Upon entry, clients had to walk through a hallway to his door, he said.
In his new location, the entrance is on Mack Avenue and he believes it offers a more home-like, welcoming environment for clients. Featuring a waiting area with a couch, a conference room, his office and a greeting area, the space formerly housed a chiropractor who moved his practice just a few blocks up Mack Avenue as well.
Grosse Pointe Woods Mayor Robert Novitke, City Administrator Al Fincham as well as Executive Director Jennifer Boettcher and Director of Administration MaryJo joined Zoia along with his wife Karen, and their sons, Nick and Ben, Tuesday evening for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
ZOIA and Associates, Inc., is one of the many businesses that have been moving into the Woods from other locations along Mack Avenue. Last year there were a variety, including Papa John's Pizza and . Most recently, the and the soon-to-be new location of , have made similar moves.
